Supervisors must ensure that cleaning teams follow safe systems of work, use equipment correctly and report any defects or hazards immediately. They are also responsible for verifying that all staff on site have received the necessary training and personal protective equipment for the tasks they perform.

All employees have a duty to take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions. Staff must cooperate fully with company procedures, attend training, follow instructions, use protective equipment correctly and report accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions without delay.

Risk Assessment and Safe Working Practices
